    We fished from shore, it was nice. Sunday evenings at the lake are great, most everyone is leaving when you show up......can get real peaceful!!!

    I've been checking that little woodlot for years and have never picked more than a dozen off it. Guess everything was just right, I picked all those in about 20 minutes. They were all in a 30'x30' area, it wasn't hunting, it was harvesting. Not a single tick either, I could get spoiled.

    Dinner tonight was prosciutto and morel pizza! Last night morel and fresh asparagus pasta. Still have morels in the fridge!!!

    Morels and asparagus go great together, had a similar pasta dish the other night. I made a big pot and froze some up for latter.

    Did the asparagus and morel thing the other night, really liked it..........do need to tweek the technique a bit. Going to try morel and Swiss burgers tonight.

    Article in LJW yesterday about an ol' boy that picked 1,792 pounds last year, travel through 8 states.........that's some woods time. Heard the going rate is around 15 an pound, pretty good pay check too!!

    We looked all afternoon. I think we are too dry again. We need rain something fierce. Done looking for this year I think.

    I have done a combo fish-morel trip 3 times to my inlaws strip pits and nodda!Although the crappie and bass fishing has been very good.Really dry! They did not get the rain like the kc area.Anybody know a good mushroom guide
