I find them every year it seems like. I've never picked them always been told you have to cook them just right or they are poisonous. Not worth the risk in my mind.

I went out and looked last Monday since we had some moisture and it was nice and warm over the weekend. Didn't find any at all haven't been back out since would really like some moisture

Got a question for you mushroom seekers, do they taste that much different than the ones you buy in the store? Or is it just being able to be outdoors with family and friends? I've never tasted wild mushrooms is why I'm asking. Thanks

I've been told they taste like meat, I don't know if I would say that. But they don't taste like the little white buttons you buy at the store. I love morels best way that I know to fix them is to cut them in half long way then egg, flour and fry them in a skillet with butter. Their awesome! Hope we get some moisture soon!
