Default Seems sometimes one vise is not enough

I thought I had too many vises since I had my Nor-Vise and a Renzetti Salt Water Traveler and one Peak. Well I let someone talk me out of the Peak, but I figure the Nor is good for a long time and the Renzetti can always fill in if needed for a short time. Well not so fast my vices said, that Nor is not spinning as well as it use to (I had a part in backwards or someone did, LOL!) so I called Norm and he said just send it back, so I did. I pulled the Renzetti over to where I use it and the first day the adjustment screw on the jaw broke. Not only was it a bear to get the threaded end out, but even worse the local hardware store didn't have a decent replacement. I called Renzetti and bought 2 of these screws as I don't want to not have a replacement for that is it broke ever again. So I sold my Peak, sent the Nor back and now my Renzetti is not really usable so there I went from over supply of vises to not having one to use, LOL!

Never will think I have too many vises again!

Oh and should have said today not only did I receive the Screw for my Renzetti, I got my Nor back as well. Also know this, when I took my Nor out of the package at first I thought it a brand new one, but then I saw the base was the same one, but he had polished the brass on it is why I thought it a brand new one for a minute and now spins like a new one as well.

Yes Stump Hunter I do know better, but I nly had used that Renzetti for a year so never thought it couldn't be good for times like these, but it didn't consider that both could need something and for sure not at the same time, LOL!

Bob I sure didn't ever thing both of these high quality vises would have something that needed attention at the same time. It was most likely my falt on the Nor because it was because a part was in backwards so it was not spinning as free as it once did, but now it's a hot rod again !

My regular is a Dyna-King Kingfisher, and back-ups are a Thompson Model A, and an Old Herters #9 (model A) knockoff. The Herters still works good but I do need to find a new collet piece for it, tried one from Outdoor Adventures and it didn't fit. May be time to retire it!!

Well an update that is now good! Got the 2 adjustment screws for my Renzetti and was very reasonable, I think it was like $4 with shipping. Also about the same time he got my Nor Vise back and looking almost brand new plus I got him to send me a different kind of "C" Clamps for my back up Nor so I can take it off the board I have it on and transfer it to a "C" Clamp vise. So now I have 2 Nor-vises (one still brand new) and the Renzetti Salt Water traveler so feel great about my vises now!
