If there are short "vehicle only" parking slots available, I do not see it as a breach of etiquette to park in them.

My point was that it is more than a "breach of etiquette" to park a vehicle without a trailer in a trailer spot. It is illegal. Citations were issued to the two trucks without trailers that I saw parked in trailer slots......

There are slots available at Grenada Landing for vehicles without trailers.

Thank you Iwannafish, glad to know it's okay. I have parked at several ramps with vehicle only slots. Clear Creek, WV Landing, S Graysport. That's a good move giving tickets, but they should post it given the way boat ramps seem to attract the clueless.

Oh, something else I have wondered about. When I'm bank fishing and I see someone loading/unloading solo, should I offer to help? I haven't yet for fear of offending.

I always offer to help and I always appreciate it when someone helps me.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

    I wouldn't hesitate to help.
I looked at Sardis today and there are six "vehicle only" spots right behing the bathroom. In addition to overflow parking across the road. Just saying.

Am I the only one who has ever parked his truck and boat trailer in a "vehicle" spot? More than one vehicle spot some times? I have done it many times at the Long Branch ramp, and I am not the only one. Should we boaters be ticketed? No. It would be just as ridiculous as ticketing a vehicle for parking in a trailer spot. Spots are spots. Just park where you can and move on. If you're first, park where you want. If not, park where you can. Simple. Non-stressful. Easy.

Guess who was parked on the ramp...
I watched a guy at Sardis early this morning go around boats waiting to launch. Turn around on the boat ramp , get out and get his boat redi. Thought that was tacky.....
