Wallace Creek is also a COE campgroung and has beer renovated in the last few years with big level capm pads.
I have stayed there several times and it is a very nice place to camp.

Sounds perfect as it allows you to fish the lake that is on fire. Or fish all three if you're there a few days. As we all know days fishing is not going to happen on Sardis with winds high, Where one of the others you may get out of the wind and fish. Plus if everyone is in one spot that is a big plus. With people being scattered for miles like at Grenada. Fellowship is cut down to a few hours at the cookout.
Also as for the fish fry, Been doing this for 12 years with a different group. Some years we do BBQ, as I know for me I can feed 100% easy off my smoker. Have BBQ ready to eat in 30 minutes and even have smoked chicken and Blonaga to boot. And allows everyone to fish all day on Saturday or just visit. Not saying we don't all love a fish fry, but it takes a few hours to pull off. And everything has to work together. Where other items makes life easy for everyone.

I for one like it being in the middle of crappie heaven give everyone a choice on where to fish. But then again moving them around the state fits some more. AS your always getting to try out new waters that you may not fish without going to a crappie camp.

Persimmon hill campground is new with flat concrete pads and modern facilities.

you can camp at persimmon hill at enid ,leave a boat in the water and cross bean creek(50 yds .from persimmon to cossar ) . Actually there is a ramp at both . From the pavilion where the last camp was it's a 1 min ride (20 min by road ) . Persimmon hill has all new everything. pads, bath/shower houses .Lighted walking trail. new play ground ( if you bring kids ) . there are 72 sites there 99 at Wallace creek . both are good . main difference is most sites on persimmon are in site of the lake and is on flat ground . Wallace is normally an older crowd but both well patrolled with no problems .

Next thing you will want is a POLL to see how many want to make a PERMANANT Fall Camp at Enid.

Thanks for all the input guys and gals. I'm not trying to run or push any agenda here, this was just an idea I had after seeing the problems and logistics from other camps. I'm all about making things simple, easier, and more enjoyable with the least amount of trouble and aggravation. Judging from what a lot of you said, many are interested in the concept of a permanent location for the camps. The last I looked Enid was leading the poll for fall camp with a strong 75% margin. If it is chosen as the fall location that will give everyone a chance to experience it first hand. Maybe we can have some discussions about it there and then. Thanks folks!!

It would still work out great at Enid....all the campers stay at Persimmon hill and folks can rent cabins at Cossar and we could use the pavilion at Cossar for the cook out maybe.....just a thought. Does Persimmion Hill have a pavilion ? If so we could use it and then it would all be together except for the folks that rent cabins and they would be close by. If Enid was chosen it would be good for both fall camps as well as spring camps due to its location being close to Grenada and Sardis to give folks a fishing choice.
