I want to joint the single pole mafia . Please , please !
CATCH THEM ALL.
I catch every fish off of a single pole....
Capps rigs are good for shallow water. Especially with one hook trailing the weight.
the view is better from the backroads
I pushed a single jig with a split shot above it on 6 poles at Nada.I caught fish recently on a Popsicle Rage Tail/with a minnow on a light wire jig head with very few hang ups. If you do hang a steady pull on the jig and it bends the hook free.I was using 10lb with no break offs. Just have to re bend it. No real need for sonar since you are shallow. I use the handle of my net to see how deep I am.My 2 cents!

I have been using Wally Marshall troll-tek 1/2 oz double minnow rigs. They are more compact that store bought c&c rigs. My fishing partner tomorrow is a die hard jig man....so the right side of the boat will be pushing jigs and the left, double minnow rigs.Should be fun...stay tuned for results. We will be on Eagle most of the day fishing around the islands and the shallow flat at the south end.

Now if your talking pole fishing, I always use 8 to 10lb Spiderwire lo-vis greenwith the Comal oval float & Bead and the Gremlin ¼ oz Bull-Shot weight.Finish off with a sharp cam-action hook and minnow. Specially for the next month.
