Have had a trip planned down there for several months. Coming Monday to spend all week at the park with the kids and g-kids. Hope ya'll don't mind a "neighbor" sliding in to your territory. I guarantee you this Arkie will not indulge in in bumper boats. I even make my wife sleep in another bed (NOT). lol! I am looking so forward to enjoying that Lousiana hospitality. I am quite fond of your state as I spent several childhood years in Bossier City when my dad was in the Air Force. I went to Waller Elem. School and Waller Baptist Church. Left there in the summer of 1958.

I dont care how good the fishing is, i wouldn't fish in an area with that many people. I'd have to find another part of the lake or another lake all together.

I'll be there all next week. My family and my wife's family have planned this trip for a year. We'll be in our RV's and fishing for crappie and cats, so I'll be right there in amongst ya.

If I am being rude - or imposing on your space, then lemme know. I'll be in a SEARK 15/48 with stick steering. I'll politely scoot over. But me and my FiL are about as nice as you'll meet, so we'll probably introduce ourselves first.

Edit - I just read Iron Man's post - that's the father in law.

I hereby declare that I am going to LOP tomorrow morning, will probably tear 'em up, and that the fish won't bite starting Sunday. That's what always happens when I get off for vacation in the spring. It always winds up being the wrong week to be off.

Yep. Warren, AR. And my first "real" job was in a tomato shed.

I liked to know what happen to common courtesy and the magic line in the water you don't cross when fishing near someone it sure is very close in that Lake I try to keep a few boat lengths away from anyone when possible but I could have stepped into one old guys boat he passed so close to me. I really though he wanted to tie on to my boat and get a fishing lesson since he felt the need to follow me every time I pulled in a fish. I had one guy cut through me this morning while I was fishing a bed in 3ft of water and ground his boat on land and throw to shiners my way to claim the spot (ridiculous nerve). Back home that guy would have been sprayed by a well placed outboard for doing that at the very least. Well I kept my cool and bit my tongue how I don't know, I even surprised my fishing partner. Well I hope some how it gets better.
I have to say that I've met no one nut friendly people all willing to help out. The fishing has been tough. I've kept 7 in two days. But if the storms hold off it ought to be better in the next couple if days.
