    Caught these on 3/11/2014 at Lake Hartwell. Probably caught around 80-90 fish all together.

    Nice catch DW! Congrats. Were you spider rigging, longlining, etc?!? How deep of water were you catching them in? Welcome to the boards.

    We were fishing in water from 8-15 ft. using 1/32oz jigs with a small cork varying from 3-6ft. Mostly fishing the stick-ups with the bigger fish close to the banks. Seems like the action got better in the afternoon around tree falls. haha Fished almost the whole day with 1 jig before finally getting hung. Was using Zoom Marabou jigs but had to cut the feathers down close to the hook to get the fish interested.

    That's great to hear you found them up in shallow water. Most of us are still pulling deeper water, but I don't want to miss that exciting shallow bite!
