    Default Talquin Muddy

Leaving this afternoon heading back to the lake. Suspect muddy water after all this rain. Looks like will have to go find the fish all over again from last weekend unless some of you have re-found them (hint-hint). Don't suggest from the Iron Curtain to the dam either! LOL

muddy yes, and cool. supposed to start warming up sat., but still cold in the morning. still running water out the dam - 3 gates open. suggest starting at the dam and trolling to the iron curtain. actually from bell lake to just past harvey mill.

Scotty, try the channel where we were at last week then work your way to where we fished last week. This cool snap may have pushed them out a little but they will be back where we left them real soon. And don't be scared to try from Polk Creek to Williams. That was a hot area last week also.

I will be on Talquin tomorrow too. Also i'm expecting it to be mudding since it was muddy tuesday and it has rained since. Looks like I may actually use my brain tomorrow trying to find them!

I took every ones! Friday and Saturday was good but after that, the fish went into hiding. Monday was awful. Let me put it this was, yesterday I had someone that knows the lake much better than I do ask me if I had caught any and where? At that point, it was 1100 AM and I knew it was time to pack it in. They pulled water all day Friday and really dropped the lake down. Was back-up Monday but really muddy water. If we get some warm weather, the females should be ready to move-up. I was amazed how many males caught this weekend out on the flats.

Trolling tipped jigs, lot's of channels. Landed 5 over 2 lbs on 6 lb line. Fun.
