Pete, before I retired I put one of my customers in 18 straight trucks with that engine trans combination. They were 24 ft 13.6 boxes delivering furniture. Stop and go all day. They averaged around 11-12 loaded to the gills. We did some tests and empty at road speed they would get 16+.

What gears did they have? This one has a 6 speed Allison with top gearing of 0.61 and rearend is 5.13. Motor is at 2100 RPMS at 70 MPH or close to it.

I don't remember for sure but different than yours. Same tranny but we ran 22.5 low pro tires and looks like your running a smaller tire. Are yours the 19.5? Probably the same effective revs per mile. 2100 is right where that engine builds it's Peak Torque so your best cruise speed is going to be between 60-70.

Its beating my 2500HD on MPG. Filled the tank I'm running off of and its getting 24.9 MPG the last three days. And that is figuring it by hand. Hooked it up to the camper a few minutes ago and will have to drop the B&W 5th wheel hitch 2". Will use it until were back from Pickwick and Grenada then put the air ride hitch on the truck
