Check out the Braid from Bonehead Tackle. Awesome stuff and prob the most preferred braid by Oklahoma anglers. Used to be Power Pro, but Bonehead has taken over first place as far as using it for crappie.

I too have been using Braid for many years on spinning reels and don't have any issues with this.

I like Power Pro Super 8 Slick for braided spinning applications. It's a little stiffer and much slippery that regular PP.
Never have a problem with tip wrapping or spooling issues.
Sometimes I tie a short mono leader on, depends on the application.
My go to knot is the Palomar. It's easy to tie with my 70+ year old hands that cannot feel anything and eyes that cannot see anything.

Also been using Power Pro for a good while, but last year bought some of the Power Pro 8Super Slick and it's really nice. No noise like regular braid going throughout the guides and such. I would try Bonehead Braid, but just have too much Power Pro and others to buy more this year anyway. I will just use what I have and know I will still have a pile of it after this year is done. So have nothing against Bonehead Braid as far as I know since I never had any and guess it will be a good while before I am ready to try it as I have enough Braid already. I even have one spool of Nanofil to try, but have not put it on yet as it waits it's turn on what ever real I change line on first.
Can't answer what braid is best but I've used both Power Pro and Bonehead, and hands down Bonehead gets my $. No tip wrap, doesn't fade near as bad. Was not impressed with PP . JMO
Line choice is 100% personal preference, but I've always liked Fireline. It's the only "superline" that is unique in any way. (It's thermally fused, not braided.)
