Default Adding Low Draw Spot LED Lights

I frequently find myself out after dark running across the lake to ramp. Usually I just follow my chart plotter course with no issues. Last summer I was running fairly slow (about 20mph) and a had a solid thump and not a crappie thump. I just finished installing these on my KTM and they kick out some serious light. 10w draw 8 degree spots or various other degree floods. So after the they turned out so well on the bike I am now wanting to add them to my boat. I am thinking of various ways to mount them and will work something out to make it useful to actually be able to see the Lake surface area out in front of me a little. Figure I wire them into my running light at the bow then tie it into the switch.

Is or has anyone else run something like these and how did they work for you. The one photo is the same LED lights mounted on my bike and turned on.

    About $50 a pair and quite small about 2.5 x 2.5

I would try to fab something up to mount it off the trolling motor to minimize putting holes in the boat.

Check coast guard rules on running with lights on that are not the ones required. I know as I was checking texas rules about lights (as we will launch about 4am for a tournament) that it is illegal to have any other light on when running except when docking. Even hand held lights was mentioned as wrong. Heard it is the same in Missouri but haven't cheeked it yet. Just be safe and check the regulations where your at.

Where could I check on this? Was thinking about doing something along the same lines as mentioned. I use a hand held now.

Along time ago I made a light bar that had off road lights and was tied directly to the bow light so I could remove the whole thing an not have the lights bolted to the boat. Dont type well enoung to describe it but if interested, pm me your ph# an I'll describ it to you.

    from the Kansas boating laws.

Every motorboat in all weathers from
sunset to sunrise shall carry and
exhibit the following lights when under
way, and during such time no other
lights which may be mistaken for those

    prescribed shall be exhibited.

NO SURE WHAT "MISTAKEN FOR THOSE PRESCRIBED" WOULD INCLUDE
