My son and myself and a buddy went out for our first trip of the year saturday in the upper part of lake murray. fished about 3-4 hours. ended up with 20 nice crappie weighing in at 24lbs. through back a bunch of small ones. good time. went back sunday and got 23 but the weight was around the 15lb range. these fish were good and fat and healthy. had a couple of two pounders. by the way; we were tight lining.

Yeh; that was two fun days with jeremy and my buddy. i am surprised that crappie buster has not been on here showing his fish. that married life and work must have him strapped a little bit. hope things are going great for you Derek. anyway; might get a chance to try them again on sunday.
Gonna drag the kayak out there Sunday, somewhere near the upper end. Will be my second time fishing Murray and hopefully will catch my first Murray crappie. Caught just about everything but a crappie last time. I may see ya out there Coolbreeze, what kind of boat will you be in?
Great report and catch coolbreeze!! Those will sure make for some good eating! It's been so muddy on the upper end of the lake that I haven't tried it out yet, but I hope to get up that way this Sunday afternoon.
