Question for Lake Murray fishermen and others

Where is the Upper end and the Lower end of lake Murray

To me the lake goes east to west.

What is your take on it.

My take is the lower end is where the dam is.

Yeah that's the lingo. Go up river or down river to the dam

the upper end of murray is (to me) anything upriver of the gap, lower end is wher the lake opens out past the gap toward the dam, from dreher island to the dam.

Hey Matt,
I have always understood it as stated here. You go up river so I guess it follows that the lake formed by damming the river would follow suit. Up river=upper lake and vice versa.
Good seeing you at the Crappie Night Thursday. You just missed EAtmorecrappie (Mark). He and I spotted each other earlier in the evening and I was having a senior moment thinking "where do I know him from??" He came over and introduced himself and I felt like a dummy because we have met before. Wish you could have met him, but maybe another time.
Charles and Monte had a good crowd there, the parking got kind of touchy but that is a good problem. Sorry we were not lucky enough to win a prize in the drawings. Crappie Buster was hoping to come, but if he was there I missed him in the crowd.
