    That's what I find so funny....very few people fish amy cause the water is always muddy. There is several spots similar within 50 miles of lafayette. Mo for me

    We fish shallow and deep! Wasn't the best day by no means!! Almost had white caps with the winds we had!! I have no doubt the fish is there, they always are!! I WILL BE BACK!!

    Do y'all think that the rain that got dumped in the area last night will delay the water from starting to drop by Sat or Sun?

    Depends on the gates on the north in, if they don't open it should not affect the drop if they do open it will affect the drop!

    This time of year the gates are normally open, so rainwater affects Henderson quickly. On a related note, Cairo is predicted near flood stage, so we should have a fairly large rise coming, about 21 days out. The prediction for the crest still hasn't been given, so tough to tell how long it will last. The upper Mississippi is not predicted to go as high, so we should not get abnormally high water.

    Was looking at the gauges yesterday and figured the same thing.
