Had to go and pick up my wife from work to bring her home. We live off Creedmoor Road in Raleigh and coming up from Crabtree Mall is a steep hill. Sure enough, both lanes not moving from spinouts up the hill. I kicked it down in 4-wheel drive and jumped the median, then drove up the hill in the on-coming lane. Passed one guy and he flashed his lights at me. Got to the top of the hill and jumped the median back over to my side as more traffic approached us. My wife works at the family hardware store and they were swamped this morning. She was dead tired as we drove home, but when I jumped the median going the wrong way she got a little excited to say the least.

Default Cabin Fever Continued ~ Part 2

Well we got up this morning to a total of what looks to be about seven inches of snow and about a 1/4 inch glaze of ice on the trees and power lines... but still have power thank God (at least so far). The weather folks are calling for more snow today and winds 15 to 18 that I hope will be the final test of our power infrastructure before the warming begins tomorrow and hopefully into the coming of spring.

Alright!!! I'm officially tired of winter now

If it were not for the kids, I would be done with the snow, the last time it snowed! But my son is loving this stuff, he will be grown soon, He's talked about snow all winter, so I'm glad he got some.

Wow. What a last few days. 37 hrs worth of snow pushing. This was the worst I've had to push it seems like in the last 12 years since I've been in business. Here was the calm before the form
