Thread: Prayers needed for my fishing buddy

Guys picture the person that showed you how to fish for crappie years ago, the friend that is always there to lend a hand just to see you catch another fish. That is what my buddy Royce means to me. He's not been doing good for a while and has not been able to fish. (this is a man that fishes every day) So when I asked him if he wanted to run up to the lake with me you could tell it cheered him up.

I picked him up just to get him out to the water and I think we both knew the fish would not be there but we went up to the house boat. The man I saw today that took 15 minutes to walk from the truck to the house boat stopping several times as we walked, him saying "just go on and I'll catch up". We would stop for a few and move on. I'm a grown man but what I felt hurt bad and even though we took no fish today for the short time we were there I enjoyed every story he told about those big ones from years past and it was one of our best trips.

You guys may not know Royce but you know someone close like him, I ask for your prayers because loosing him would be like loosing family.

Didnt mean to go into detail but just wanted to let you know what I saw and I know that prayers do work.
