    Default True Rotary Vises

I'm just getting started tying. I'm looking at vices. I have a question. What does true rotary mean? I see a lot of vices have that feature. Some rotary vises aren't true rotary?
    Thanks

Redge, just means you can turn the jig without it breaking plane.

If you set the hook in the jaw proper the jig or hook will rotate around without a wobble so you can use this for several things.

Thanks Micro! Would any rotary be a true rotary, as long as you mount the hook centered and true to the shaft that rotates?

No, in short not all rotary vises are true rotary.
