We did so enjoy this one like you Fredi! Martha and I both had a good time as we did last year as well! Fried fish, Oysters, gator, shrimp, and étouffée that I brought. Lots of food, way too much, LOL!

You all missed out on some really good socializing at the Toledo Bend get together with the Louisiana Crappie.com folks. The Head Man from Crappie.com was there (Slab) the first C.com Man of the year "G" and one of the two Man of the year 2013 Pawpaw Gene was there. We all celebrated for "Billbob" who wasn't able to make it and he was the other Man of the year for 2013. Keep Billbob in your prayers for good health..
There were some really good fixings to eat, Jambalaya, green bean casserole, Eggplant casserole, fish, shrimp, AL-E-GATER and they can cook them right too, and desserts just to name a few of the things they served.
The fellowship was great, unfortunately the fishing was not so good but fun was still had and everyone caught their limit as Slab said.
They are moving the get together to the latter part of February next year in hopes of better fishing and possibly better weather too.
You really should think about attending next spring if you can, I know they have put out the invitation before and I am sure it will be in place next spring too.
Thanks to all those folks over there that were so kind and friendly with me and my wife. Ferdi

That was some good etoufee that you brought, as was all the other things folks brought, I don't think much was left over of anything. I think all but one went home full, she couldn't have sea food but she thought she would be able to find something to eat. I know Connie sure enjoyed everything she ate but I couldn't get her to try the alligator, gives her the hebbie-jeebies just knowing I ate some. It was a good time except for the knife and tater fight that RetiredRR stepped in between and got hurt. He said he wasn't going to do that anymoreGlad he is okay and looking forward to seeing him and his wife again sometime. Holler when the fish start biting. Ferdi
I really wanted to make it, but stuff just got in the way.........glad everyone had a good time. any one have some pics to post??????
I didn't take my camera, it's not working anymore. There are a lot of pictures posted on the Louisiana site though and you might be able to see some of the name tags. Maybe you can make it next year Chuck. When it gets a little warmer and I am feeling a little better we can get out and fish. Ferdi
Glad you were there Ferdi. My favorite on Friday was Tracker123's crawfish etoufee. My favorite on Saturday was Skip's shrimp etoufee. Kinda funny, one was from Texas, the other lives there and they cook Cajun food!! Like this year, all will be welcome next year. Go on the Louisiana forum. Many pictures in several threads. Any of the threads that have Toledo Bend in the title. Danny
Thanks for making it Ferdi, we enjoyed you and Connie being there. Thanks so much for the rods and trolling motor, they went to a good cause. Shu (from Florida) received the rods because he needed some - his were stolen recently. And, Marshall needed the trolling motor. He has wanted one for the longest time, and has a hard time getting around. He's a proud vet. You Texas boys need to make plans to join us next year at the end of February. Danny and I both proudly displayed our Texas crappie.com stickers while there. So, come on over and display yours as well.

It was my pleasure to be able to play it forward some, and to such nice folks too. There were so many fine people, members of Crappie.com, there and I feel they all had a great time. The food was outstanding and to have the Crappie.com Man there was icing on the cake. Folks traveled from all over to be here and I felt blessed to be there with them. It will be nice to remember faces with the names we see on the different post. Great visiting with all of you. Looking forward to seeing you all again. Ferdi
great pics over there, thanks danny!! and fred, any time you want to go just holler!!!!
