    Default Biggest tin boat?

There are lots of nice tin boats on the market, and most companies offer BIG boats. MOST all of them have some version of a Mod-V hull. The longer boats ride reasonably well in rough water because they can reach across the swells, but the shorter boats suffer in this area. Only a few companies make a tin boat with a true Pad Ride hull like a glass boat. The difference the pad ride hull gives in Xtremely ROUGH conditions is what separates these boats from the competitors. The pad ride boats are usually rated for larger engines, and are also a bit faster. They do handle better as well because of their high performance hulls, just like the glass boats.

That being said, Everyone should buy the boat that THEY like best. Just do the research BEFORE you buy, and get the one YOU like best for your style of fishing. Try to give them a test ride if you can, and pick a NASTY day to do it so you can REALLY tell how they will handle!!! It's a lot of money wasted if you make a mistake on someone else' opinion. Put on the blinders, and DONT worry about who's name is on the side!!!!!! You'll get a good boat regardless!!!!!! JMHO

Or, you can just do like I say. If everyone would do that, I'd like y'all a lot better. So, we all win.

Custom boats are nice if you can pay cash, and are Never gonna sell them. Usually custom boat builders don't use NADA, and the banks won't loan money on them because they can't figure out the values of em. Plus it is hard to get work done on them if you have a warranty issue because they don't have a national network of dealers.

I use Alweld for my custom boat stuff. They use NADA, and are a nationally known company.

Well said Bill ! there are so many choices out there . Never sat in a boat I did not like , however there are some I liked more ! Make sure you deal with a person/dealership that will stand behind their product . A great boat and poor representation sux ! We all love the fishing experience but some have deeper pockets . the bigger you go, the bigger the cost lol .But above all Name: Video 11 0 00 00-07.jpg
