That Henry is one heck of a gun. A farmer friend had one that he carried in the Rhino. His hot rod son threw it out somewhere. Didn't find it for two years. Ran over it with dual wheeled tractor while bush hogging. Blades didn't get it but the tires put a noticable right to left bend in the receiver and mashed the mag tube some. Pushed an aluminum rod down the mag tube, loaded it up and it's still shooting today. The bend makes getting on the sight a little difficult but she shoots true. Shoots as good as my Browning BL22.

I saw a good looking older Henry Lever 22 at the gun show saturday. Lots of marbling and wood grain. But the $1600 price tag sent me walking.

Most any brand of 22 will be finicky on the cheap ammo, buy the hotter high velocity bullets and it will take care of most issues. JMO

Yes....when you can find them. Don't have a whole lot of choice on 22's now days. Its basically get what you can find and then pay a big price for it.

cool gun--I have an old mossberg bolt 22 from that time period myself. Was a target 22 by grand dad traded a mule and cart for it. Had a factory scope on it at one time but my uncle broke it when he was a kid. Looks similar to yours too.
