Live bait seems to be the ticket right now. I am new to this also and it have come to realize that it just takes time to learn. Can't catch on over night. Good luck for 2014.

Had nice day on lake, slow, but still trying to learn this crappie fishing. Only had one keeper. Got little pissed off at unsportsmanlike fisherman. Was a dead duck caught in a trout line. Cut that one out, pilled It up. Then found 5 more within 10 yards tied to trees. So not to get off topic, but spent next hour clearing out old lines.
Chartreuse/ Pumpkin seed was only color I had luck on. What colors have some of you been having luck on? Still trying to get good selection of colors. Probably have too many choices already.
Anyone have areas to try in that area? Was fishing edge of lake where trees started. Had few that I missed plus one that made it into Love Will but then seemed they just stopped. This is my first year trying out jigging so trying to build confidence in the method but its slow process.
Hope everyone had safe and good new year's.

We fished close to there up at Arts Pond today but didn't get a bite. Me and my cousin fished around Adams Lake a couple of years ago in November using minnows and caught a good limit two weeks in a row! I haven't fished Conway much.
Just keep at it and you will get hang of it in no time. Thanks for cleaning up.
Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Did have wife take picture. She is still working on he photo skills, and I have got to try the 4 in the hand trick some day when I catch 4 nice ones.
Thanks for input. Have done the minnows in past, was trying to get better at Jig fishing this winter, but may break down and buy minnows next outing. How deep down are you fishing them? Or just off the bottom? The one I caught today was in 11 fow, at about 5 foot down, but trying to figure out if it was me, the fish, the lure, location, or depth, most likely combination of all of them for reason I only brought one into boat.
Just off the bottom with Rosie red minnows.
Good fish Aaron!
