I don't track a deer I shoot the neck it hits the ground where its at no running , no tracking, just load and take to the processor!!!!

Thanks Gary, I think I'm gonna go with a 150 grain round nosed bullet of some type in my 270 WSM. Finding some right now is the problem. All I found yesterday was a box of 130 grain Rem. Core Locs. Are the Silvertips a round nosed, soft nosed bullet like the Super-X Power Points?

The silvertips that you find now are exactly like the ones you have been using, just a different tip in it. They used to, may still do, make a solid point silvertip that was blount like the one posted earlier but I havent seen any of those. That 130 grain corelok will do it, another thing when close with a magnum rifle shoot that sucker dead in the shoulder, got more resistance and will knock him down most of the time and for sure do more damage.

    what Rees Guide said !!!
if your weapon holds a good group with the corelok use them, that will knock them to ground you want have to track far to find them if they do run !!!

I had a friend that used to talk about only taking neck shots. Two years in a row I had to give him meat. It works if you hit them. Those 130 C/L will do the job. Shoot like you usually do. Shoulder shots will anchor it, at the cost of some meat.

150 rem. Coreloks bad to the bone . That sweet spot right behind the sholder and just below the spine core lok will do the rest . If you miss that spot it will still get him or her .
    CATCH THEM ALL.
