What I said is that we all have the right to say what we want. Companies have a right to employ at will. If I got on here and started ranting and raving about how bad my company was (which BTW is not true) that's certainly expressing my opinion, but do you really think the company shouldn't have the right to boot my butt out? Exactly why most major companies have social media policies now. If I were the manager over HR do you think I ought to go around stating an opinion on Gays being immoral, etc. given that companies by definition of equal and fair hiring can not discriminate? That might be stating my personal opinion, but it won't go over well in the real employment world. I never stated I agreed or disagreed with either his choice of words or AE choice to terminate him. They both did what they felt needed to be done. Lets move on. Fishing is a whole lot more fun to be chatting about.
