American wood duck n Sally's Hard as Nails. :-)
A buddy gave me some wood duck flank feathers, so I tied up a JUNGLE JIM flash duck to try.
Works good.

Adam really like that gray one. Super job!!!! I could see a bucket of big fat Slab Crappies with that one. Two thumbs up.

Pearl River fish catchers. Quick n easy ties.
Been tying some with the lace hard bodies I do, but they are time consuming and these work as well and can whip em up quick.

All nice ties and paints!! Really need to get off my butt and get back to pouring and painting,
Thx all. Very appreciated. Imma have to spend more time tying one day bc as if this second I have four jigs in my supply and two are on rods.
Still liking JJ's flash duck design.Dunno y they work so good but I think the flank feathers "cup" all the flash and allow glimpses of shiny insides when they subtly seperated in the water? Dunno, but I'm not fighting it.

So flash first then duck around it? I like duck it is easy to tie IMO... Very nice ties! Your work is very good!
Yes. Tie in your flash thick then wrap the shank in it and tie it off at the head and cut. Cup your flank around and smooth out your collar. I think* the flash is the ingredient. Or at least has been for me. Have had great success with it that ways anyways.
