used a Sam Heaton jig pole until meatgetter showed me the Ozarks!!!! Bad mistake for the crappie!!! An Ozark jigpole for crappie fishing is like a Gloomis Rod for bass fishing!!! If not using an Ozark jigpole hope your fishing partner's not!!!!

I have 10 and 11 ft ozark rods. 10'ft if i am holding it all day with a solo reel. The 11 ft is a lot heavier but has its application when u need a little more reach. Never tried sam Heaton rods.
