    Default Unexpected catch

Just wanted to share what I think is a funny story. My son has been bugging me about going catfishing on the banks of the Ohio River at Lesko Park in Aurora In for the last month. Before my health issues we used to go at least weekly and would always get some fish, nothing big, just 10lbs and smaller. Well last night was the evening. We took some fresh caught shiners and other baitfish along with the old standby, chicken livers. We fished for an hour before the dinks left me alone to get a 10 lb'er on a cut shiner. My son is struggling with what appears at first to be a snag, but he is making headway getting it to shore. Come to find out he has a nice sized leatherback on his line! Half an hour later, same thing. He never got any cats, just the 2 turtles. Now I think he needs a nickname to go along with his turtle catching prowess but nothing good has come to mind. Any suggestions for a 25yr old turtle catching guy?? Please help me find a good name for him to outlive. Thanks for reading along.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

He was a kid when the ninja turtles were cool. Call him Splinter since he is the turtle master.

How about "softshell" or just plain old "softie" for short.
