I bought a luggage scale off ebay, that was cheap and works very well. You can get them in any price range, so you have to watch what your getting. But mine is very accurate, think I paid 30 bucks for it.

That's true. As in most scientific equipment, the accuracy is a certain percentage of the maximum reading. Thus, a 10 pound max scale would have a better accuray than a 50 pound max scale.

I searched on ebay for a luggage scale and there was so many different ones I dont have a clue what to get. Seems like more people would chime in on this.

    Thumbs up

I bought the rapala touch screen at A.S. in Decatur Ala. They are $39.99 there and it is spot on. Ive checked it against the club scales and they both was the same exact weight to the hundredth 9 out of 10 times. Pretty good for a hand held scale. It will hold up to 8 weights stored in it as well. I like it so far, especially for the price of it.That also included the 8 floating number system and the clamp end and the hook end.

the rapala shown above is the best so far. It does eat up batteries--probably should take them out when not using.

I keep mine in a ziploc freezer bag and take batteries out until I get ready to use it.

Do any one know how you can convert from your 12v battery current to what these scales are. I have a hand held GPS and I have a cord that converts my 12v to its 3v,was wondering how for it must be a way, like phone chargers or something. I had 2 scales and both the batteries are about dead each time I use it.if I find something that converts the current to what I need then I am going to try it. I bet Cane Pole could do it

I found postal scales to be the most accurate back when I fished tournies. I bought my set from Ebay for less than $10 and have had them for about 10 years! They work on 9 volt or 110.
