I hear you there my friend. It's hard to pass up the smallies when their up shallow. Lately I've been sticking to working heavy cover for largemouths for at least 4 hours before I go after the smallmouths. Last Saturday on American Lake I even left my smallie lures in the truck to stop myself from switching over . Then I found myself starting to downsize my lures to catch the smallies that where following my plugs lol. So on Sunday I made sure only lures 7 inches and larger where on board before launching out. Needless to say I found out that big smallmouth like big lures :D. I really have a sickness lol.

The perch should be up by now.......milking all over the boat when you catch them too . I hate that lol. Good eat'n though. I may have to keep a few if I run across some females. Good luck if you make it out there Friday.
