You should be fine in your 6footer in some of the best spots on Lake Wa and Union. On Wa try behind the UW football stadium. You can drive around to the back of it and fish the lagoon area that has a small inlet canal that leads to thick lily fields and brush piles. There are catfish, perch, crappie, and largemouth bass that spawn in here. You can also try near the Mercer Slough and the large cove that's just outside of it. This area has smallmouth bass, perch and crappies if you fish the cattails and the mouth of the slough.

On Lake Union I would try and launch near the house boats on the east side and work the back (bank) sides of these houses in water that's about 3-12' deep. The people who own these homes don't mind you fishing around them at all and sometimes they can point you to areas were there are fish spawning. There are some largemouth bass behind these house boats that you would believe the size of until you seen them for yourself. If you can figure out how to get them to come off the beds and bite let me know! :D I threw everthing but my carjack at them on saturday and they would just inhale the lure and spit it out before I could set the dang hook.

I'll start a new thread about the bluegills.
