Thread: Alder Lake

Well, I was bound and determined to find the crappie in Alder Lake and luckily just as I started my vacation I found em. Once I got em figured out it was too easy. With this lake there just wasnt a lot of info as far as anyone consistently catching them and thought for sure if I was gonna get some nice fish was gonna have to travel to eastern part of the state. Used to a limit of crappie keeping 15 and nothing less than 9 inches. My average was an easy between 10 and 11 inches with several between 11 and 12 and the biggest at 14. The kids really enjoyed catching em but got a little frustrated over only keeping 15 each trip. All in all Alder does have some nice crappie but think we gonna give it a break and do a little bass fishing. Started my vacation on the 12th and been bringing home my limit every time out. Went out 3 to 4 times a week and vacation about over. Wishing everyone tight lines
