I'm going to have to try trout and salmon fishing. It seem to be big in these parts. Growing up in Alabama.....it was strictly pan fish in my neck of woods. Great job landing your catch... The crappie was very consistent once I downsized....I only had to change color from time to time. I use crappie nibblets at the end of the jig and this worked very well. The pink and gold rush nibblets were the most productive. I normally tip the end of my jigs with a half of small night crawlers. This was a deadly crappie combination down south.....I'll try it here to see if it yield a good reward. In my opinion, live minnows is one of the best bait for crappie......but I was told you cannot use them in the State of WA.
