    Default Cassidy Lake, Snoho County.....

    Hey all,

I am a wannabe crappie fisherman who lives north of Seattle. I'm looking for a local lake with crappie where I can hone my crappie-catching skills. Does anyone have any knowledge of Cassidy, or any other Snoho lake, where there is a good enough population of crappie to learn the finer points of crappie fishing?

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Thanx, randy

I haven't fished Cassidy in the last 2 years although I only live a few miles from it. It's full of stunted Crappies, at least it used to be. There is a 9" slot limit on them there but IMHO the state needs to lift that and get that mess cleaned up. Dont know if you have a boat, float tube or just fishing off the shore. If the lattter, I heard they closed down the fishing dock so you are out of luck. But go about an hour or two before dark. From the launch go out a bit until you see the lilly pads to the right or left of you. Fish along those. By half hour before dusk you will see the crappies hitting the top of the water eating the bugs. I don't fly fish, but ive seen people do that. Before light I fish with a 1/32 oz jig and small white twister and slam them. At Dark I switch to the same thing but all black. It's a great lake to go catch some crappies but like I said I havent fished it in a few years. Lake Union supposedly is the best lake up around you, but I went last year and got 1 bluegill and a sucker. But Im sure they are in there, I just spent 2 hours looking and then went home.
Just get me on the water and I will be okay.
    Good fishing everyone.

Yep Cassidy has been slowwwwwww the last couple years. And with that slot limit. Good luck. I live right next to this lake. But its turned into a waste of time sad to say.

Union slabking used to say was the hottest. I have never been there. Also a small lake called blueberry or something like that in Bellevue area is supposely a secret top producing spot.
