In Mississippi... they have a 3 rod per fisherman limit on four reservoirs...all other waters there is no limit on rod numbers. Me and my fishing buddy sometimes run as many as 8 on the boat when we spider rig for crappie.

I don't know if everyone knows about it but as of August 15 they are letting us buy a second rod stamp for most lakes and ponds in the state. The price is a bit steep but it will be nice to run two poles at once. There is a list of lakes and ponds you can't use them in on the WDFW site. Most in my area are just the kids ponds and selective fishery lakes, not a big surprise there. Anyways, just thought I would let everyone know just in case you don't check the WDFW site often. FYI it's $24.50 for a second rod stamp... in Colorado it was only $5 more.Oh well that's Washington for you. Now if we could just use live minnows!

What you doing reading these"other" post?
Not knowing what a 2nd rod stamp is. Is it rods in possession or lines
in the water??????? The reason I ask can you carry a extra pole in your
boat, without a 2nd pole stamp?????? That would suck fishing and breaking
a rod or reel and having to quit when the fish are bitting.
cork'n crappie
You can carry as many rods with you as you like. The second rod stamp allows a person to fish two rods at the same time in lakes.

What kind of state Gov.are you people under?Never heard of such as this on this side of the USA.Although, not completely opposed to the concept. We have crappie fisherman dragging more hooks than they can possibility manage.
I often wonder, why do they just not use a sein net?No sport in what they do,no thrill of felling the strike!![]()
Yeah things are pretty regulated over here. There's no trot lines over here either unless it only has 3 hooks and you have to attend it at all times.
