Thank you for the invite, however that is a bit far for us atm. I did finally catch a crappie today :D thanks to pwbuilding's advice about crappie nibblets. We (my hubby and I) caught a few but they where small. We would have kept going but the skiers came in and one of them came really close to our boat. So we just left. We are going to go back for the night bite. We will try what you are saying and see if that helps. Today I was just floating a bober and a jig with a nibblet.

I do have a question tho. I am looking at getting a new pole...any suggestions? Also how long does the pole need to be?

Thanks again guys for the replys.

Thumbs up Hewitt Park In Richland Oregon

Oh My God!! The Crappie Fishing In Pierce County Sux Bad !! I' Ve Been To Ohop, Silver And Hart's. The Crappie In Hart's Lake Are Small But They Are Plentiful. Slabman You Are My Idol To Be Able To Live Down There (wow). I Was There Two Years Ago In Aug. My Family And I Were There For 5 Days At Hewitt Park. All I Can Say Is That There Is A Sign On The Outskirts Of Town That Says (crappie Mecca)true !!! I Have Three Kids(2 Boys & 1 Tom-boy) They All Caught Fish, My Oldest Caught His First Smallmouth And My Younger Son Was Fishing With A Bobber And Was Saying That It Was The Current That Was Moving His Bobber Quickly Across The Water. The Whole Family Was Like Set The Hook.typical Little Boy(fish -on).
All I Can Say Is My Ladies Stole The Show,my Wife Drove The Pontoon Boat And I Had A Kid Hanging From Each Corner Of The Boat.my Little Girl Had A Green Snoopy Pole And She Became An Overnight Celebrity.(father's Keepsake In My Man-cave).
My Little Girl Asked Me The Other Day About Going Back And I Had To Say Due To Finances We Can't Go This Year Barring A Financial Blessing.channel Cats Are Huge, Crappie Are Larger, Smallmouth Are Insane. If I Could Go Now I Would Leave Now(honestlty).
Check This Website(oregon Fishing Reports Hells Canyon Fishing Report) Forgive Me For Being Emotional, But Crappie Fishing Is Quality Time. Go And You Will Never Want To Fish Here Again (lol)

And there ya go. Even with a Green Snoopy pole (my second favorite, right after the yeller ones), you can catch crappie. If BnM made a Snoopy pole, I'd be all over that like white on rice.

I did try Ohop...nothing. Then everyone kept saying go to Hearts so we did. OMG call me a girl, but the wind was comeing off the hill and the smell of poo from the farm was soooooo bad that we where off the water in 10min. Today we where at Sawyer and it was alot of fun. I have tried to get my son to go but he cant sit still long enough. Once I get it down and we have a spot to fish I am sure he will love it.

And no worries about being emotional, is that not why we have kids; to enjoy the fun times? :p
