Looking for new spot to try for crappie fishing. Usually go to Kerr, but it's a little farther than I want to travel for a short trip. Doing some research, I found River's Rest Resort on the Chickahominy River. Anybody have any info on the river in that area, or on the resort itself? Not fixed on the Chickahominy itself, but would like to find a good crappie spot say between the Potomac or the James rivers. Would need to have reasonable accommodations and room for a boat.
