Default Need a NWR Perch fix !!

This weekend's warm weather has me itching. I'm gonna pick Sat or Sun by the wind forecast, and we are coming down to get us a mess of perch.

How much rain did y'all get down there? Will the river be okay to fish?

Windjinx, are you close by Bob's or going to be around this weekend? I have your Bash Winning Trophies in my truck.

    Thanks,

    Dayton

Looks like Sunday is going to be a good day, light SW wind, right moon. I was thinking of going, too. Maybe Friday, though. I am off, and love to miss the crowd.

You can always call James at the bait shop, 757-421-2855, for current water conditions.

I stopped at the river this afternoon. The water at the ramp is somewhat stained, but not bad. It's certainly fishable. I plan to be there Sunday.

If there's more than one it's the one that looks like a 2nd grader is driving!

A beautiful Sunday on the NWR. Saw some old friends and caught some fish. Managed a dozen perch and 10 crappie. Only 4 of the perch were big enough to eat. So we let them go in hopes that they will make babies. BIL and hid dad had a good time.
