Welcome to the board! The fishing off the docks can be good, depending on the time of year. From December through February, you have a good chance at getting some nice yellow perch. Other times are hit-and-miss, but you are likely to catch crappie, bass, pickerel, bluegill, bowfin, and a variety of catfish. Good luck.
