Thread: Buggs last weekend

As mentioned in other post the crappie fishing at Buggs right now is red hot. Last weekend we caught around 300 crappie on jigs over brush from 4 to 16 feet deep. They were really eating my homemade green or yellow (what a great color combination) jigs cast and brought back at a slow retrieve. Most were on the small size averaging around 9.5 inches. Next year should be a banner year. Largest was a little over 13.5 inches. Water temp was up to 81 with light winds. Guess I'd better head back down there again to see if they are still biting.
