went hunting in the shallows yesterday- got on water bout 10: 30 and stayed till dark- put in at staunton river park and worked the upper end- water was stained to muddy everywhere but temps really varied depending on where ya was- Peters creek ran 58-61 deg, Arrons creek 55-58 deg and Hogans Creek 53-57 deg- only crappies i found was in peters- didnt find any in the willows or on brush- stayed in 3-5 fow all day- all the crappies was on 6-8 " dia sweetgums standing in 3-4 fow- no dinks smallest was 12" and biggest was 14 1/2 " had 12 in the livewell when got home & counted and when i cleaned em all was males- all were caught on a 1/32 oz pink head with a mr crappie black and lime "shadpole" body- hope to go again sunday![]()
