Thread: Buggs trip

Well got the boat out for the first time this year and headed to Buggs Island for my annual trip with my dad in tow here we go. We hit my favorite creek sunday and had to work real hard to get the skunk out of the boat but finnally did. we ended up with 3 thats right 3 crappie biggest was 1 1/2. Changed creeks on Monday. Good choice had 54 with 3 going over 2 lbs. Fish were in 4 to 8 FOW being caught at 2 to 6 feet deep. Green and black and all green seemed to be the best jig colors. Tuesday hit the same creek as Monday just way up the creek from the previous day and ended up with around 30. 2 making it over 2 lbs. Wed. tried to go to Buffalo and fish some of my favorite spots but got to the ramp and it was closed. So went back to the same creek i went to mon. and tue. and ended up with 30 but no monsters. All in all it was a pleasurable trip Dad and I had a great time and thats what it is all about. Didn't catch the number of fish we normally do but still had a good time.
