    Default Back to the river

Went to rockahock Sunday. Windy, windy, windy. Had to anchor just to fish. Caught around 20 crappie on minnows. All between 8-12in. Kept 8 best fish. Biggest fish was 12 1/2 inches. Weighed about a pound. Had 3 that size. Then lucked up and caught two striper at 20 and 21 in. Caught titelining large minnows. What a day.

Sweet! Nice crappie and striper too. Did you try a strip/ribbon of cut bait for the stripers? Also, use a large jighead as the weight to a bottom rig. Add a large white or chartruse grub (4" or 6"). That is quite the attractant. Above it put your large minnow and or cut bait while tight-lining. You might be amazed at the striper action. Good luck.
