Got more done the past few days. filled is a couple holes up front so glass would have something to adhere to.

    Cut and laid out glass...

Did some trimming up to shape of the floor and then FINALLY wet it down with resin.

Today, cut out the final layer of glass for the floor. The pic is not the finished product.worked on it another couple hours after this pic and now have it ready for resin for the last time.

Hopefully get the resin work done tomorrow.CF

Gosh. Did not realize how much I had gotten done since my last post. Once I got the floor glassed in, I put a coat of gelcoat on areas that would be under the decks from the top cap.

Next was time to put the cap back on...

After I got the cap and rub rail back on, I pulled carpet out and found this....

Had to cut the rot out underneath. Ended up cutting a large section of front deck out.

Cut out some plywood using the cut out as a stencil. Had to be really careful for a tight fit. Then cut some cleats to screw and glass in underneath to support the new floor.

You can see where I had to layer in some extra glass to level the surface a bit. Up to 4 strips of 1 1/2oz. mat were placed looking like a topo map.

    Turned out great.

Then I prepped the front deck, cockpit floor and rear deck for an application of bed liner type material called Durabak by sanding all surfaces heavily with 60 grit sandpaper.

Did not get a good pic of the durabak job as I had to work fast but had to do a portion over because it was not prepped good enough. I pealed and wire wheeled it back up and put down an etching primer and redid the job and it turned out really well the second time. will see some of it later and I'll get a better pic when I wash the boat next time as there is a layer of dust on everything right now.

Here is where I am now. Got all pumps in place, wired and plumbed up. Installed two fuse panels under the front right console. Will have to fabricate a cover for it. Got steering cable run and steering wheel installed. Had to fabricate a backing plate for my steering setup ans the hole in the dash was too big. Today, Ricky and I sealed and bolted on the Jack plate to the transom and then mounted the motor and attached the steering cable....

You can also see the durabak that I put on the rear deck in the pics.

I had to do some finagling on the door hinges all around the boat because removing the carpet threw the doors off. I put some small strips of carpet back behind the hinges to make them work properly or borrowed a jig from a boat builder for installing new hinges and did that on the rear door. Worked great.

Still have to rig in the gas tank, motor controls, get motor running again (been 2 years) and rig up trolling motor. Then after sea trials, I'll rig up depth finders and rod holders.CF
