Got the hull out today and washed it down and left it out in the sun and wind to dry most of the day. Brought it back in, sat a fan in it to blow for a few days. Also cut some cardboard for the template for the new transom. Now got to go price some composite material for the transom.
Got a outfit down here that refurbishes boats of all types from bass boats to Albemarle and Carolina classics to jig built charter boats. The owner told me he had some scrap composite that I probably get what I needed for my transom. He said it was like $350 a sheet but would sell me the scrap to save a bunch on it so we will see. I have about made my mind up regardless on the composite. I can't afford to do the floor but I would not have to ever worry about the transom rotting again. CF
