I GOT A TRANSDUCER THAT ONE SIDE WAS BAD FROM A FRIEND AND CLIP THE PIN OFF THAT SIDE, THEN I ANGLE IT WHERE IT WOULD SHOOT STRAIGHT DOWN,THEN BOUGHT A SWITCH FROM HUMMINBIRD TO FLIP IT OFF STANDARD TRANSDUCER TO ANGLE DUCER ,THAT WAY ONLY PING FROM ONE SIDE SO IT DO NOT HAVE TO GET INFORMATION FROM OTHER SIDE, AND TURN UNIT TO DI,BUT TO HAVE SI HAVE TO FLIP SWITCH BACK TO STANDARD DUCER. I KEPT SEEING THOSE LOWRANCE UNITS WITH SUCH GOOD DI THAT I DECIDED TO MAKE MINE LIKE THAT,GOT IDEA FROM MAIN BOARD

Great shots. Gotta love the way the crappie are bunched up in the top of the brush in several of those shots. Don't asked me how I know they are crappie. As nice as the pictures are they look even better "live". Maybe because you then get to fish for them. Great job on the DI Gene. Really impressive!

Great looking pictures Gene, you got that 998 dialed in. I wish mine would do that.

The pvc is the 2nd one down. I agree that there is a problem with the unit. It blacks out the coordinates. Should probably sell it to me for parts,
