Had a few hours to kills yesterday morning while waiting for the sun to dry my deck (had some repairs to make). I decided to hit the river again. I carried minnows this time and was glad I did. The fish really didn't want jigs. You had to let the minnow sit in front of them for a bit before they would bite. I caught a good number of fish, but most were just shy of 10". My daughter wanted some fish, so I kept 5 for her, all between 11 - 11 1/2". The bycatch included bluegill, bullhead, flier, rock bass and largemouth. It was great weather for fishing. Oh yeah, all fish caught shallow, less than 4 FOW.

good report
Good day, thanks for the report but where are the pic's?
It's good to hear a good report from NWR, I haven't been back since March/April, pleasure boaters are a bit much for me.
Hope to get back this fall/ winter.

it's cold.. it's raining....it's too windy...
"fish on!!!"
(What a great day for fishing) lol.
Great report Kevin. I bet the boat traffic was really really bad. Vic came down and fished with me sat and the tides were very slow coming in and the fishing was a little slow. We caught alot of small trout but no keepers. They should be in pretty soon. I'll be fishing the n/w river or Indian Town this fall and winter. Hope to see you and others down there this fall. If you see me this year look for grey G-3 boat and give a shout. Looks like there on the same pattern as last week!!!!!!![]()
Anchor Man, I don't carry a camera with me fishing. Maybe I should start.
Jim, yep, same pattern, different areas.
