    Default northwest river

Took the wife out on her b/d sat. She likes to ride in the new boat so I told her we would go. Got at Bob's around 11 and rode down to the n/c state line. I caught one casting pretty quick and set out my poles to fish the area. I worked the channel drop and was not catching any. The ones I was catching were on 1/8 jigs casting casting to shallower water. I finally decided to move into the 6ft range fishing 3 ft deep. My wife taught it was funny watching me fighting three fish at a time so I put the long poles and went to casting. I had a ball catching but only a few were keepers. Most fish were caught on the money jig.

Glad to see you out. Scott and I wanted to be out but I busted a rib Friday at work. Lot better now, but we are off to Buggs for a week starting on Friday.

Nice job, Jim. What size were the keepers? I haven't been crappie fishing down that way much this year.

Sounds like you had some fun Jim, you need to get Robin to try to fish a little, I'm sure she will like it.

That will never happen. I've tried with NO SUCCESS. She is still good company to have on the boat. Your lucky your wife likes to fish.

Thanks for the report, Jim. I guess I'll be making a few casts somewhere, soon. Maybe in Oct.
