Thread: its that time of year

well aint been fishing but once in the last 3 weeks- had a flurry of surveying to do & bunch of stuff to get ready for hunting(still aint done with all that)- got out last Sat. after lunch - put in @ OC & fished to Bluestone & back from 2 till dark- first time this year I got skunked- I mean as no fish- dinks-perch-bass-catfish- only 3 bites all day- casting jigs & vertical jigging spoons- oh well aint complaining- gorgeous day - lot of water bugs out (skiers & tubers) but hey the stretch of water I tried fishing figured there would be- it just happens sometimes! got a tip might try - heard fish moving into creeks early, some fish been caught in 6-8 fow- gona try to get out again but fillets 4' deep in freezer, bout out of deer & been out of dove for a month time to change gears!-aint been a bad spring & summer though when you got crappies scales brick deep under your cleaning sink! i'll check in on ya'll during hunting season!

Now go and fill the rest of that freezer with some game meat.

wait til ya retire an freeze no fish...I keep mine in the lake, just run down an catch me a mess when I'm hungry!!!LOL!!! and the reason ya got skunked may be that all the catchable ones on those places are in yur freezer already!!! Just sayin...it ain't an infinite resourse.

Hey Doc, you implying that I could catch all the fish off a spot is the best compliment I ever had on my fishing! be carefull now , you'll make folks think I actually know what I'm doing! LOL!! but you got a point- I wore em out from Clarksville to buffalo this summer & wore out grassy creek from march to june! that's my goal for next year - 1) to double the brush pile in my GPS, 2) to catch a fish long line trolling - I gota eat fish (that I caught!) @ least 1 day a week or I get cranky but with vacuum sealers & deep freezers don't know if ill do any fishing in winter time- used to duck hunt norman back in the day & I aint never been as cold in a treestand as was on the water- see Ya'll
