    Default What a (bad) dsy


    Me & mom tried fishing around Clarksville today & the crowd was so bad it was toxic! And an amazingly high number of oblivious drunks! We tried from 10am till 3:30 pm & decided to come home before we got run over- it was shameful what we witnessed today- never seen buggs like that before
    My wife swears I only do enough surveying to support my hunting & fishing because I'm too busy hunting & fishing !

    On a day like that you are better off sitting at the boat ramp and watching the idiots struggle with loading/unloading. I was stuck behind a real winner yesterday. Old man was driving and 20-something son trying to direct from outside. Old man was too fat to swivel his neck around and back the boat down while looking over his shoulder. Instead he was trying to do it looking in side view mirror. 20 times in a row he turned the wheel the wrong way and kept jack-knifing the trailer. Lots of yelling and screaming. By the time they launched the boat they were so mad they fished for 10 minutes and then left.

    I hate crowds. Thats why I do not fish the the local rivers this time of year. I fill your pain!!!!!

    We fished SML yesterday and today but we got out there at 5:30am and were back to load up about the time the idjits were coming in. Worked out great. Big nap when we got home. LOL

    thats the best method I've found for holidays an w/e's. get there early and leave B4 noon, B4 all the drunks wake up!

    Thats why I always fish early. To miss the crowds and dodge the heat. I put in at Longwood at 5:15am left ramp at 9:15am caught 37 crappies in the time, and was gone before the crazies could even get a start. That afternoon I drove over the 58 "new bridge" and I have never seen the amount of boats like that before.

    A friend of mine claims he and his family almost got hit by a boat that afternoon near the bridges.
