Wow you guys landed some nice fish indeed but you did have me worried A LOT. When you say the word citation down in NC many of us know how it feels when the game warden is around and is handing out citation after citation. Glad that you were not in that type of situation.

Knappy, in Virginia they have a group size for all fish called a citation. A crappie citation is a 15" or two pound fish, you can take it to an official weighing and measuring station and get a written citation which will cost you a fee. I think in recognition they will give you a plaque for catching the fish I personally have never taken any to have them checked.

Years ago they gave you a plaque but now days its just a piece of paper you can frame. The plaques were really nice but I guess they cost to much money for them to continue giving them out.
